How To Save Time When Recording & Editing A Podcast
Recording a podcast could potentially be a long process if you don't have a strategy. At Anchored Media we thrive at being efficient and we want to help you do the same. Here are some tips on how you can save time when editing and recording your podcast.
Plan Out Your Show
Sometimes people aren’t able to speak in a clear and concise way on their show because they forget what they’re talking about. Remember podcast listeners don’t like rambling! It’s important to have your main points in front of you while recording. If you’re unsure of how to plan a show check out our Anchored Media Planner here www.anchoredmedia.com/planner.
Batch Record
If you have a seasonal podcast, take a day or two out of the month to record the whole season. If you have a weekly podcast pick a day and record 4 episodes for the upcoming month. Batch recording gives you to the opportunity to get ahead and it saves you time throughout the week/month.
Edit As You Go
Editing as you go is best for you if you’re the only host and you don’t have a lot of external factors. The best thing about editing as you go is that if you mess up; you can stop, edit and proceed on with recording. When it’s time to edit the final draft, it won't take long for you or your editor to edit.
